EJ Hub partners gathered together
EJ Hub Partner Space
Stronger together
across New England
This is the partner space for the New England Environmental Justice Hub. Our goal is to build stronger connective tissue across all six New England states so the region is better positioned to bring resources to communities facing climate, energy, and environmental challenges, from clean water to green infrastructure. That includes distressed urban neighborhoods, Indigenous communities, and rural towns.
There is a flood of information out there right now. We aren't trying to share everything. We highlight what matters most and count on you to pass it along to the trusted people in your networks.

Cohort
New England Leaders Cohort
We co-lead the New England Leaders Cohort with the Conservation Capacity Project. Leaders from all six states come together for peer learning, stipends, and pro bono expert support to strengthen their organizations and move projects forward.
Convening Support
Bringing people together?
If you are gathering people to talk through strategies that move projects forward, let us know. We may be able to help with planning support and a small convening award.

Transition Project
Governors' races in all six states
Every New England state elects a governor this fall. Whether leaders are re-elected or newly elected, we think it matters to educate transition teams on community-driven projects worthy of their attention, and to lift up people who can add to future conversations on climate, clean energy, and other environmental challenges.

Meeting the Moment: New England Regional Convening
About the EJ Hub
The EJ Hub grew out of a 2023 regional convening coordinated by Communities First Fund, which brought more than 250 people together from across New England. Sponsored by the Grassroots Fund and primarily funded by the Barr Foundation, we work on two pillars: advancing climate and clean energy projects toward funding and implementation, and strengthening the regional infrastructure that lets the New England EJ movement act together.
We show up, connect, listen, and problem-solve. We don't worry about credit.

The messenger matters.
When an opportunity comes from someone people already know and trust, it's much more likely to reach the folks doing the work on the ground. Please share what's useful with the people in your networks.
This space is a work in progress. If you come across something worth sharing at the regional level, send it our way.
