New England Leaders Cohort
Advocacy Resources
Materials from our September 8 training with Alliance for Justice's Bolder Advocacy program. Coordinated by the Conservation Capacity Project, covering nonpartisan election-year advocacy.
Action Item
Every state in New England has a governor's race this year. The EJ Hub is now beginning to build transition books, in partnership with state EJ contacts, that will overview local climate and clean energy issues and include the names of people and organizations who should be considered for opportunities to support or serve in advisory roles, apply for staff openings, attend meetings, and more.
We will wait to distribute the books until campaign season is over, sending them to governors-elect and to governors who are re-elected. The books are being built now, but only in partnership with state partners.
We hope cohort members will choose to participate, because state leaders have resources that need to be leveraged to advance this work.
